April 15, 2020 – COVID Update – Parking Restriction East of Main Avenue (Route 35)

Effective Thursday, April 16, 2020, there shall be no parking of vehicles on any streets located east of Main Avenue (Route 35). This includes East Avenue and all side streets. Due to the overabundance of pedestrian visitors and tourists utilizing East Avenue in violation of the State of New Jersey’s stay-at-home orders, the Office of Emergency Management has made the determination to close the streets to parking. Vehicles, associated with approved residential construction sites, will be allowed to park in these areas by permit only. We strongly request all visitors and tourists refrain from utilizing East Avenue for recreational purposes. If the actions of others continue to pose a threat to the health and well-being of the residents of Bay Head, we will be forced to take additional action.
